Just got back from our second trip to Irvine.  We got a lot more found on this trip.  I was able to look around the museum part of the Historical Society while he dug in the books.  I found this awesome skelleton which I posted on my Facebook page.  They had so many things that we use to carry in our brick and mortar shop.   It was funny, I was going through in my mind pricing everything.  I still love the history behind all the items.  They had an awesome collection of doctors items with medicine bottles, kitchen items, sewing machines and so on.  I grew up going to museums all the time and could live in them.  That's why I loved our shop.  I still have it via internet and I do get to travel with my hubby now and visit other brick and mortars and hopefully find items for our e shop. :)  Go check out the two photos at my Steampunk Kollectic Oddities FB.

Canoe Trips Remembered

Growing up in Ohio I was so lucky to have a dad that knew all the water ways. We always went conoeing on the Mad River.  I loved it.  There was a tractor pass that created a mini water fall that was safe for me to stay in the canoe and have my dad guide us over. I loved stopping along the way in little coves to look for rocks and shells.  One time we stopped at a bank that had holes in it.  I used one for a foot hold and heard a grunting noise.  It was then my dad suggested I move my foot unless I wanted a muskrat tearing my foot and leg apart. lol We passed near areas we couldn't get out due to the processing plant dumping "clean" water back into the river.  (still smelled. YUCK!)  In the spring it was dangerous due to the flooding.  I remember one time I wasn't allowed to go because I was so small.  But, one of the other parents in the group took their child.  He fell out of the canoe and got caught on a tree under the water. ...

   How are you all doing today.  We've been very busy.  We have been baking, schooling, crafting and idea crunching. :)  I've got the pattern for the small Krampus dolls complete and have started to cut and sew.  I'm finishing up next with our weather skeletons (akin to weather rocks) and should have them posted by the end of the week on our "for sale" page on Pinterest.  We even had a drawing give a way this week thanks to my lovely, talented daughter.  We hope to do this once a month so keep watching.  We will do different give a ways on different media so you'll have to check out all six.  Easter Egg Hunt!     I find this rather amusing that I've installed an assistant app on my phone but obviously haven't used it properly since I have failed to keep to any schedules.  Oh the life of a procrastinator, dreamer, mother, etc.  I really need a shock collar to keep me focused. Today is so bright and happy.  I've taken my vitamins and started the dishwasher.  I'm ready to concur home school now. ;)  I have been feeling so much better since I've started my new vitamin pack.  I take: 1 Dong Quai, 2 Red Clover, 1 Sea Kelp, 1 Biotin, 1 Blackstrap Molasses and 1 Saw Palmetto Extract.  Best I've felt in years.  Do you remember waking up around when you were 13 during the end of Spring beginning of Summer months and you had slept all night with the windows open.  Yeah, that's how I feel now after taking these fellas.
